Is an alternative rock band that was formed together with intentions of giving the world music that everyone can listen and relate to.
Music that crosses the boundaries of human coexistence music that transcends racial barriers; music with real stories that most people have actually lived through; and most importantly, music that warrants change in world. This band represents so much more than music. It’s about guys with different paths, and backgrounds, and struggles who manage to come together and unite under a common goal and do something positive, says Marco aka M Dot (M.). M is Black Steel Rose’s founder & lead singer. Because of the lives we've all lead, a lot of that struggle, love, and passion comes through in our music. We really make our music for as many people as we can because for all of us in the band, it's the music that got us through. If you ask their fans, Black Steel Rose is not just a band.
Black Steel Rose is a movement. Rarely has a band been formed without formulas, but by true honest character. The basis of the band was forged by the ideals of service and reaching out to others. Two of the members are a part of The Dream Center, formally known as the Queen of Angels hospital and serve the greater Los Angeles area. The Dream Center is a nonprofit community outreach program that has been serving LA since 1994.
The band participates on a daily basis by serving food to the homeless, helping kids out on the street, and giving hope to those who have none. . Not only is the hard work of serving the community a part of Black Steel Rose, but the message in its music serves others as well, giving hope to those who hear it and spreading a positive message. The Band Black Steel Rose symbolizes hope and music for a cause not just for profit. It is a symbol of change. With so much going on in these times, we hope that our band can inspire others all over the world to overcome adversity and do something good for others, says M.
