Alemany freshman Nia Britt set a national youth record in the 6-pound shot put Friday at the AAU Junior Olympic Games to capture the title in New Orleans.
After establishing new AAU National record of 50'5" on her 3rd attempt of the preliminaries, Nia Britt, on her second attempt in the finals, uncorks a HUGE throw that had officials bringing out the steel tape measure AGAIN. Nia had just re-set her own national record to 51' 6 1/4"
